Glycogen storage disease III—metabolic muscular dystrophy

Glycogen storage disease III, or Forbes disease or Cori’s disease, are part of a group of genetic metabolic diseases, the glycogen storage diseases, in which the organism is incapable of utilizing sugars as a source of energy because of an enzymatic defect.

This study has the objective of increasing knowledge of the natural history and methods of surveillance of the evolution of glycogen storage disease III in muscle by a prospective study of a large series of patients using the same protocol for children and adults.
