The counter of Telethon 2012 stopped at 81,065,239€. But your solidarity must not stop now. This year’s Telethon will remain the challenge of all challenges: the challenge of donors and volunteers in the face of crisis, the challenge of researchers and families in the face of disease … Together, we have tackled them, with determination and courage, all united by the same desire: win!
“We are now calling on all those who can and who have not yet done so to join this great movement to enhance this result that we can all be proud of. Twenty-five years ago we had a dream and while this dream is becoming a reality, we know that we owe it to an audacious and united France, the foundation of our battle and the driving force behind our future victories.” said Laurence Tiennot-Herment, president of the AFM-Telethon.
It is the combination of all our efforts and all donations, large and small that always make the Telethon an exceptional event! On behalf of patients and their families, the AFM-Telethon would like to thank Franck Dubosc, a convinced and convincing ambassador, Sophie Davant, Nagui and all the presenters and teams from the French public television channels (France Télévisions), the numerous performers present, volunteers and partners involved throughout France during those 30 hours.
Since its creation in 1987, the Telethon is a technical and audacious challenge for the teams of France Télévisions (France 2, France 3, France 4, France 5, France Ô, the main radio and television stations). These 30 hours of live and continuous festivities have helped promote the various activities conducted throughout France.
But it must be emphasised that once again the success comes from the solidarity of the French people who give their support, their attention, their sensitivity and their generosity to this great cause.
