\"agadir_19042016_toutafm1\"Given\u00a0the increasing success of the “1,000 chercheurs” project,\u00a0interventions by researchers from the Biotherapies Institute<\/a> are being deployed overseas.<\/p>\n

This week, students in year 10 and 12 from six different classes\u00a0of the Lyc\u00e9e Fran\u00e7ais of the Mission La\u00efque Fran\u00e7aise in Agadir (Marocco) benefited the expertise of J\u00e9r\u00f4me Nicolas from Genethon<\/a> by video-conferencing. On the menu? A privileged moment of exchange to learn everything about genetic diseases, research and ongoing trials.<\/p>\n

“Students were delighted, [they] felt more free to ask questions in this context rather than being in front of the researcher in flesh and blood,<\/em>” said gladly B\u00e9n\u00e9dicte Bessette, the highschool’s deputy head.<\/p>\n

Before Marocco, it was the Lyc\u00e9e Fran\u00e7ais de Tokyo of the AEFE (Agency for French Education Abroad) in Japan which had benefited an intervention, physical this time, by Laure Ory-Lavoll\u00e9e, researcher at I-stem<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now, other \u00a0“1,000 chercheurs”\u00a0interventions are likely to take place abroad, especially in Turkmenistan, Syria and Lebanon.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
