INGESTEM, I-Stem and biotherapies: 1st congress november 19-20th, 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

INGESTEM<\/a>, the national infrastructure in biology and health certified by the \u201cInvestissements d\u2019Avenir\u201d program (2012-2019), is the first French network of therapeutic innovations based on induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS) cells and human tissue engineering.<\/p>\n

Created by Professor Annelise Bennaceur-Griscelli, head of the Stem Cell Hub of ESTEam Paris Sud at Paul Brousse Hospital in Villejuif, a well known expert in its field, this infrastructure gathers 5 reference INSERM research units and hubs as follows:
\n– ESTeam Paris-Sud (INSERM U935,Villejuif),
\n– I-Stem (INSERM U861, \u00c9vry), member of the Innovative Biotherapies Institute for Rare Diseases (BIRD)
\n– IGBMC (INSERM U964, IGBMC, Strasbourg),
\n– PrimaStem (INSERM U846, SBRI, Lyon),
\n– SAFE-iPS (INSERM U1040, IRMB, Montpellier)<\/p>\n

INGESTEM ambition is to use the major potential of cellular reprogramming techniques to generate models of human diseases and regenerative medicine.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s first INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS will be held at La Maison de la Chimie in Paris and will be about \u201cPluripotent Stem Cells : reprogramming & tissue engineering\u201d.
